Maclay Murray & Spens - Edinburgh
Maclays’ Charlotte Square office is intended as only temporary overspill space until a new consolidated Edinburgh office can be provided. But even in the most temporary of offices nowadays data and communications systems have to be fully provided and the image and efficiency of the company preserved. Thus, while the building selected had more to do with location and size, careful planning and design of key areas remained important. The front of the building is traditional and is set aside mostly as meeting space. The new build back of the building is used as semi open-plan office space.
