The SCRA wanted to change the way their ‘Hearing Rooms’ and supporting office space were organised to reflect a fresher image and the need for greater flexibility. At the same time they had a continuing need for security, privacy and voluminous paperwork.
haa design’s pilot project in Aberdeen created a form of open plan which was protected while feeling spacious, and which considerably reduced the footprint previously required. For the ‘hearing rooms’, while working to the highest levels of acoustic separation and robustness, haa design have created a space which is open and non-confrontational. This successful project has been followed by a further project in Hamilton and will hopefully set the pattern for a role-out programme of new offices across the country.
