haa design’s brief was to provide a multi-functional facility that could accommodate anything from formal council meetings to meetings of community groups – even weddings!  The solution was to have flexible furniture that could be rapidly rearranged or even made to disappear (via a hoist into the basement) and finishes that were smart but not stuffy and formal.  There was also a need to create a new acoustic lobby and kitchen servery off the main reception which called for a sensitive way to subdivide the fine art deco space without destroying its original features.
