National Trust for Scotland, Edinburgh

a modern office with a nod to history

The National Trust for Scotland’s’ relocation saw them move from a Georgian townhouse and cellular accommodation to a modern office building with open plan working. haa design undertook an initial consultancy phase to set out a clear brief of staff requirements, particularly as this was a huge cultural shift for the organisation, and then translated these into a new office design.

The brief called for a strong brand image, departmental collaboration, flexible staff facilities and a rationalisation of resources. Our design made use of striking graphics and bold colours to provide a cost effective solution appropriate for the charitable organisations’ image and budget, resulting in a lively and modern office space.
